Bardufosstun is a perfect starting point, located in the middle of Troms county in Målselv municipality. It is approximately a 2-hour drive from Tromsø, Harstad, and Narvik to Bardufosstun.
The nature outside the door provides great opportunities in both summer and winter for a training or recreation trip after a long day of work or meetings. Within walking distance, you will find, among other things, the Polarbadet water park, ski and biathlon stadium with a large network of trails, including a roller ski track, football hall, and outdoor gym. Our location also provides many possible activities within a short drive, such as Polar Park, which has, among other animals, bears and wolves, Målselv Fjellandsby with its alpine slopes, and for the fishing enthusiast, Målselva is one of the better salmon rivers in the country.
Bardufosstun was originally built for sports. The idea of Bardufosstun as a meeting place for young people in Northern Norway was born from Ole Reistad (d. 1949). Since then, many promising young as well as established athletes have gathered at Bardufosstun for training.
