Roller skiing track

New asphalted circuit at the ski stadium for roller skiing, rollerblading and wheel chairs

This is a new sporting facility for those choosing to have their next gathering at Bardufosstun. The 1 km long roller skiing circuit is also suitable for rollerblading, roller skating and wheel chairs. Enter the shooting stadium used for biathlon events where the circuit is 670 m. This is a wonderful track situated at the ski stadium just below Bardufosstun. A total distance of 1.7 km has been asphalted.

Ski and hiking trails

Right on Bardufosstun’s doorstep, you will discover a fantastic network of hiking and cross-country skiing trails, which take you into the forest, mountains, onto the slopes and along the shore of the idyllic lake Andsvatnet.

During summer, 25 orienteering posts are set up so the entire family can experience the joys of this wonderful Nordic sport. Maps are on sale at Bardufosstun’s reception.

Polarbadet 

Polarbadet is an exotic water park providing fun activities for the whole family. Situated right in the heart of Troms, this is the perfect place for training, fun and relaxing. Polarbadet water park is open year-round. The walls of the water park complex are decorated with one of the county’s largest murals, original art by Alvin Jensvold and Svein Arild Berntsen.

Undervegs

Undervegs is a North Norwegian tour operator based at Øverbygd in Målselv in Inner Troms. Undervegs are nature guides and arrange outdoor recreation trips and courses in Northern Norway.

PolarZoo

Polar Zoo is Northern Norway’s only zoological park and is also recognised as the world’s northernmost. The zoological park covers an area equivalent to 108 football fields. No other zoo has such a large area per animal, and this makes a trip to Polar Zoo feel like a real wilderness experience. Our wilderness park opened on July 18, 1994, and was visited by 56,000 curious guests in its first two seasons.

Amundrommet

 

Amundrommet is a complete snow play and snowboarding facility.

 

A few facts about Amundrommet:

The floodlights on the slope can be switched on in the grill hut, which is open all winter long.

You can light the fire in the grill hut. Bring your own wood (and sausages!!).

The slope is groomed by Bardufoss Ski Centre.

This is an excellent slope for children, young people and adults wanting to learn the art of balance and weight transfer on skis.
